Ingredients

  • Jowar
  • Green gram dal
  • Peanuts 
  • Chic peas
  • Horse gram 
  • Cow peas
  • onion
  • green chilly
  • coriander leaves
  • mint 

Method

  • Soak jowar in water for the entire night.
  • Soak other grains 1-2 hours.
  • Cook jowar in a pressure cooker for 8 whistles.
  • Boil all the grains until they are cooked through, then strain them.
  • Place the pan on the stove and allow it to heat up.
  • Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, jeera and chana dal to the pan.
  • Once the cumin seeds and split chickpeas splutter, add red chilies, green chilies, onion, mint, and coriander, one by one.
  • Once the spices are fried, add turmeric powder and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Next, add the pre-cooked grains to the pan.
  • Add salt and pepper, stir, cover, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now, your flavorful and healthy grain dish is ready to serve.
